The killer

Michael Myers

Also written as The Shape in some community coverage.

The Shape plays alone against four civilians, with a weapon slot and three unlockable abilities instead of a perk deck.

Read on the numbers: The single killer in a 1v4 match. Michael does not build a perk deck — he picks a starting weapon and three special abilities that unlock as his player level rises.

About

Michael Myers is the one-player side of the 1v4 split. Where a civilian brings a perk deck built from cards unlocked in the graveyard, Michael brings a starting weapon and a set of special abilities that open up as his player level climbs. That difference matters when you are deciding which side to learn first: a civilian's power comes from a loadout you assemble before the match, and Michael's comes from which abilities you have earned.

The character's own history is the 1978 film's: he killed his sister Judith at six years old, spent fifteen years at Smith's Grove Sanitarium under Dr. Samuel Loomis, and has now returned to Haddonfield. The game leans on that timeline for its single-player story mode, which is played entirely from Michael's side across a prologue and five chapters.

Two traits are always on — shape jump and killer sense — and sit underneath everything else he does. The three special abilities below are the ones the character-select screen lists with full descriptions; they are gated behind player level rather than bought.

These two are active from the start and sit underneath everything else Michael does.

Michael Myers signature traits
TraitWhat is known
Shape JumpMichael's core repositioning trait, available from the start. Reality Tear exists specifically to force entry into or exit from it when the normal conditions would block you.
Killer SenseMichael's second always-on trait, listed alongside Shape Jump on the character-select screen.

Unlike a civilian’s perk deck, these are gated behind player level rather than assembled before a match. If a guide assumes all three, check your own unlock state first.

Detection PulseUnlocked with player level

Sends out an expanding pulse of energy that temporarily marks victims and occupied structures within a large radius.

BlackoutUnlocked with player level

A localized blackout that temporarily disables anything powered in the area.

Reality TearUnlocked with player level

Forces Michael into or out of Shape Jump regardless of the circumstances — including while downed, while lit, or while being watched. It is the escape-or-ambush button when the normal rules would keep you locked in place.

Starting weapons

Michael picks one of these before a match. The game does not publish damage or speed values for them, and this page does not invent a comparison.

How to play Michael Myers

Michael is the only role where your options are gated by account progression rather than by a loadout you assemble. At low level you have Shape Jump and Killer Sense and a choice of five starting weapons; Detection Pulse, Blackout and Reality Tear arrive as you level. If a guide assumes you have all three, check your own unlock state before following it.

Reality Tear is the ability worth understanding first, because it is defined by the restrictions it removes rather than by damage. Shape Jump normally has conditions attached — being downed, being lit, being watched. Reality Tear ignores all of them in both directions, which makes it both an escape from a bad commit and a way to appear somewhere a civilian has already checked.
