Does Halloween: The Game have crossplay?
Yes. PC, PS5 and Xbox players can party up and matchmake together, and party members follow the leader into matchmade lobbies. Cross-progression has not been announced, so your level and unlocks stay on each platform.
Yes. You can group up with friends on other platforms and queue into matchmaking together. When the party leader finds a match, every cross-play party member follows them into the same lobby. Early Access builds used to drop party members back to the main menu at that point; the Day One Patch 1.0.1 fixed it.
The Steam store page does not carry the “Cross-Platform Multiplayer” tag, so do not let that put you off. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, from the same co-publisher, has crossplay on by default and is untagged on Steam too.
What you can do: invite friends on PC, PS5 or Xbox Series X|S into a party and matchmake as a group. Check the in-game settings for the options your platform offers.
What you can’t do: carry your progress across. Cross-progression (your player level, unlocks and perk cards following you between platforms) has not been announced, so each platform keeps its own progress. Texas Chain Saw shipped crossplay without cross-progression as well.
