Does Halloween: The Game have crossplay?

Nobody knows, including the people writing confidently about it. This page exists to show you why, because the shortcut most sites take does not work for this game.

The shortcut, and why it fails here.Steam has a “Cross-Platform Multiplayer” category that developers apply to their store page, and it is tempting to read its absence as an answer. Halloween: The Game carries thirteen categories and that one is not among them. But The Texas Chain Saw Massacre — published by Gun Interactive, the co-publisher of this game, and the closest comparison that exists — does have crossplay, announced before launch and enabled by default across PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Its Steam listing is untagged too. So for a Gun Interactive title specifically, an untagged store page tells you nothing. Anyone citing the missing tag as proof has not checked the counter-example.

What can actually be said.Every official news post on the game’s site — the launch announcement, the multiplayer overview, the progression breakdown, the hotfix notes, all four map reveals — has been checked for the words crossplay, cross-play and cross-progression. The subject appears in none of them. The developers have not addressed it in either direction, which is unusual for a feature that their own previous title shipped with and made a point of announcing.

What to do instead.Check the in-game settings. Texas Chain Saw exposes a crossplay toggle in its menu that is on by default, and if this game follows the same pattern the answer is sitting in your own options screen — which is a more reliable source than any page, including this one. If you find it, the game’s subreddit is where that gets settled for everyone else.

Cross-progression — carrying your player level, unlocks and perk cards between platforms — is a separate feature and equally unaddressed. Worth noting that Texas Chain Saw shipped crossplay withoutcross-progression, so the two do not travel together even within the same publisher’s catalogue.
