Halloween: The Game Loadout Lab: compare all 7 civilians
The character-select screen gives every civilian four numbers out of ten and then shows them to you one at a time. This puts all 7 comparable civilians in one sortable table, alongside their three signature traits — then lets you fill the four civilian slots of a 1v4 match and see which stats your squad actually covers.
Your four civilians
A multiplayer match is one Michael against four civilians, so pick four. The panel underneath shows which of the four stats your squad actually covers and where it is leaving a gap.

Not comparable yet — 5 level-locked civilians
The character-select screen hides a civilian’s stats and traits until you unlock them, so these five cannot be put in the table above and are not in this tool. Nobody has published their numbers.

What the tool is comparing
Two things are fixed to a civilian and two are not, and the difference decides what is worth comparing at all.
Fixed to the character: the four stats and the three signature traits. These are the same for every player who picks that civilian, which is what makes them comparable and what this table holds.
Not fixed: the perk deck and the starting item. Civilians build a perk deck from cards unlocked in the graveyard using points earned in matches, and the perks come into play as a match progresses. Michael has no cards — he picks a starting weapon and unlocks special abilities with level instead. That means two people playing the same civilian can have meaningfully different loadouts, and it means a “best build” page for a civilian is really a page about someone’s unlock progress.
What none of this tells you is what the four stats feed. The game does not explain them and no official post breaks them down, so the comparison here is between numbers rather than between outcomes. That is a real limit, and it is why the squad panel reports the gap between your squad’s best value and the roster ceiling rather than scoring your squad out of anything.
Frequently asked
- Who is the best civilian in Halloween: The Game?
- There is no single best one, and any page that names one is picking a stat and not telling you. The four stats are not published as being equally weighted, so the honest answer is conditional: Laurie Strode is the safest all-rounder because she is the only civilian with no stat below six; Marcus Navarro is the only one with a maxed 10 in Resourcefulness; Alexis and Tanya Harrison both cap Personality at 10. Pick the specialist for the column your group keeps losing to, and Laurie while you are still working out which column that is.
- What do the four stats actually do?
- The game does not say. Capability, Athleticism, Personality and Resourcefulness are shown as numbers out of ten on the character-select screen with no explanation of what each one feeds, and no official post breaks them down. This tool compares the numbers you are given; it does not claim to know what they buy, because nobody has published that.
- Why are only some civilians in the comparison table?
- Five of the 12 civilians are locked behind player level — Jennifer Aarons at 5, Thomas Armitage at 10, Lynda Van Der Klok at 25, Bob Simms at 40 and Annie Brackett at 55 — and the character-select screen hides a civilian's stats and traits until you own them. That leaves 7 with visible numbers. Nobody has published the other five, so putting them in the table would mean inventing them.
- Is this a perk deck builder?
- No, and that distinction matters. Perks are unlocked in the graveyard with points earned from matches and assembled into a deck, so your perk options depend on your own unlock state rather than on which civilian you picked. This tool compares the part that is fixed to the character: the four stats and the three signature traits.
- How do I share a squad?
- The squad is written into the page URL as you pick, so copying the address bar shares it — the button is just a shortcut. Anyone opening the link gets the same four civilians selected.
- Does the slot order matter?
- Not as far as anything published shows. The four slots here represent the four civilian players in a 1v4 match, not an ordering the game enforces. They are numbered so a shared link is readable, nothing more.
