Why a maker rather than a ranking
Our stat comparison lays out what is actually measurable about each character and deliberately stops short of ordering them, because the game does not tell you what its four stats do. Publishing a ranking on top of that would be dressing an opinion as data. A maker is the honest version of the same page: you bring the judgement, and the tool handles the layout and the sharing.
If you want a starting point rather than a blank grid, the Sort by stat total button arranges the roster by the sum of the four character-select stats. That is a real number and a bad ranking — a maxed column is often worth more than an even spread — so it exists to be dragged apart rather than agreed with.

Treat it as a starting arrangement to argue with, not as a ranking: nothing indicates the four stats are equally weighted, and five civilians plus Michael have no visible stats at all, so they start unranked.
- Why are some characters unranked by default?
- Because they have no stat line to sort on. Five civilians are locked behind player level and the character-select screen hides their stats until you own them, and Michael does not have a four-stat line at all. They are in the pool for you to place by judgement.
