Floor is a civilian’s lowest column: it tells you how bad the worst case is. Laurie Strode has the highest floor on the roster at 6, and Alexis has the widest spread between best and worst.
How to read a spread
A high floor is a different thing from a high total. Laurie Strode never has a column that will let you down badly, which makes her the sensible first pick while you are still learning what the stats do. That is about risk, not power.
In a 1v4, only one person needs to be the one doing a given job, so a squad’s best value in a column matters more than its average. That is why the Loadout Lab shows your squad’s best per column and the gap to the roster ceiling instead of a score.
A low column only hurts if your group needs it and nobody else covers it. Two civilians with the same low Personality on one squad is a real problem; one is a division of labour. Low Athleticism also hurts less than it used to, since slow civilians were sped up and fast ones slowed down.
Common questions
- What is the best civilian in Halloween: The Game?
- It depends on the job. Laurie Strode is the only civilian with no stat below 6, so she is the safest pick in any situation. Marcus Navarro is the only civilian with a maxed Resourcefulness. Beyond that, pick whoever leads the column your group keeps losing to.
- Is there an official Halloween: The Game tier list?
- No. Neither IllFonic nor Gun Interactive has published a ranking of the civilians.
- Why not just add the four stats up?
- Because a point in one stat isn't worth a point in another. Capability covers melee and thrown items, Athleticism movement, Personality persuasion and Stalk resistance, and Resourcefulness repairs and firearms, and a maxed column is often worth more than an even spread. A point isn't even worth the same all the way up one column: since the balance patches, high Capability and Athleticism give less per point than low values do.
- How should I use the comparison?
- Check who leads each of the four columns and by how much, who has the highest floor, and who has the sharpest specialisation. That is enough to pick deliberately rather than at random, and to notice when a squad has left one of the four columns at its floor, which is what the Loadout Lab checks for you.
- Are the level-locked civilians included?
- Yes. Five of the 12 civilians are locked behind player levels 5, 10, 25, 40 and 55, and all 12 are compared here.
