The 4 launch stages
Every arena PlayStation has named, and which 4 of them people have actually played. The stage list is unusually well documented for a game this far from release — what is not documented is how any of them behave.
Haddonfield Town CenterIn betaThe commercial heart of Haddonfield, and the map with the most named storefronts.
Haddonfield HeightsIn betaThe quiet family neighbourhood where the 1963 Halloween night happened.
Orange Grove EstatesIn betaThe newer, more affluent side of town — and the one map with its own reveal post.
East HaddonfieldIn betaThe rural outskirts: a biker bar, a garage, farmland and a feed company. What is documented, and what is not
All four map names come from the official locations post, and so does everything on this site about what is in them: The Rabbit in Red Lounge, Phelps Garage and the Midwest Feed Company in East Haddonfield; Nichols Hardware and the Strode residence in the Town Center; the Myers house and the 1963 events in Haddonfield Heights. Those are the developers describing their own maps.
What has notbeen published is how any map plays: objective placement, item spawns, escape routes, sightlines, or where Michael’s Shape Jump is strongest. Those pages exist elsewhere and they are reconstructions from a handful of matches presented as documentation — the giveaway is that they disagree with each other. These map pages stay short on that front, and grow as things become testable and repeatable rather than as they become guessable.
No additional maps have been announced. There is no season pass, no roadmap and no published plan for post-launch content of any kind — which is itself worth knowing, because the comparable games in this genre all sell content that way and this one has not said it will.
Common questions
- How many maps are in Halloween: The Game?
- Four at launch, named in the official locations post: Haddonfield Town Center, Haddonfield Heights, Orange Grove Estates and East Haddonfield. No additional maps have been announced.
- Which map is the biggest?
- Not published. The developers describe the character of each neighbourhood — East Haddonfield as rural and spread out, Orange Grove Estates as affluent, Haddonfield Heights as quiet and residential, Town Center as the commercial core — but no size figures exist for any of them.
- Are these real locations from the 1978 film?
- Partly, and the developers are explicit about the method: they took film locations like the Myers house, Nichols Hardware and the Strode residence as starting points and then constructed an entire town around them. So the landmarks are the film's; the streets between them are the game's.
- Can you choose which map you play?
- Nothing published says. The multiplayer menu offers matchmaking and private matches, and no official post describes map selection in either.
- Where do items spawn on each map?
- Undocumented. No official source publishes item spawns, objective placement or escape routes, and this site does not reconstruct them from a handful of matches. Pages that list them confidently in launch week are describing what they saw once.
