Jennifer Aarons
The first level-locked civilian, unlocked at player level 5.
Read on the numbers: The highest athleticism on the roster, with nothing below five.

About
Jennifer Aarons unlocks at player level 5, the earliest of the five progression-gated civilians and, for most players, the first new character they add. Her card reads five capability, nine athleticism, six personality and seven resourcefulness, and nine athleticism is the highest number in that column anywhere on the roster.
She is one of the six characters created for the game rather than carried over from the 1978 film. She is spending a few gap years working at the local bookstore to save for college, with a firm plan to leave Haddonfield behind and an overbearing mother who would rather she stayed. The longer break has started to crack her carefully organised shell now that she has discovered the town's nightlife.
She does appear in the story mode: Chapter 3's campfire execution challenge names her as the target, which means you meet her from Michael's side long before you can play her. Approaching from her right and building Stalk to Tier 3 is what makes that execution available, the same gate every named Chapter 3 target sits behind.
Her signature traits are Dreamer, Ghost and Survival Rage: two make her harder for Michael to stalk and one makes her hit harder when frightened. Set against the rest of the roster in the Loadout Lab, nobody carries more athleticism.
That top speed is worth less than it was. High Athleticism now adds less movement and sprint speed per point and low Athleticism adds more, so she still outruns everyone, but by a smaller margin. Don't plan around simply out-sprinting Michael.
Chapter 3: the campfire execution challenge names her as the target.
Story mode is played entirely as Michael, so this is where most players meet Jennifer Aarons before they can play as Jennifer. Every named-target execution in the story sits behind a Tier 3 Stalk on that specific target. The object and the position are the easy half.
Every civilian carries three signature traits, shown on the character-select screen next to their stats. They are separate from the perk deck, which is built from cards unlocked in the graveyard and is not tied to the character.
| Trait | What it does |
|---|---|
| Dreamer | Residents you successfully interact with become harder for Michael to stalk. |
| Ghost | Stalk on you degrades 5% faster. |
| Survival Rage | While terrified, your melee damage is 10% higher. |
Jennifer Aarons’s four values add up to 27 out of 40. Treat that as a rough shape, not a power ranking: a maxed column is worth more than a spread if the thing it feeds is what your group keeps losing to. The Loadout Lab sorts every civilian by any single column.
She is the first unlock most players reach, so it pays to know all of Jennifer's Progressive Challenges and their goals from the start.
