About
Thomas Armitage unlocks at player level 10. His card reads seven capability, eight athleticism, ten personality and two resourcefulness: one of three civilians with a maxed personality, bought with the lowest resourcefulness on the roster. His traits are Running Back, Inspiring and Barricade.
He is a 21-year-old star college football player who comes home every weekend to spend time with his younger sister, see friends and help at his father's furniture business. His confidence is the earned kind, not the arrogant kind. He is one of the six characters created for this game rather than drawn from the 1978 film.
He also has a specific place in Michael's story. Chapter 3's weight bench execution names him as the target, and the layout around him matters for a second challenge: Keith is found in the house attached to the right of the garage where Thomas is dealt with, so the two are usually cleared in sequence.
Level 10 is a modest gate compared with the rest of the ladder (Lynda sits at 25, Bob at 40 and Annie at 55), so he and Jennifer Aarons are the two additions most players will actually reach in their first stretch of play.
Chapter 3: the weight bench execution challenge names him as the target, and Keith is found in the house attached to his garage.
Story mode is played entirely as Michael, so this is where most players meet Thomas Armitage before they can play as Thomas. Every named-target execution in the story sits behind a Tier 3 Stalk on that specific target. The object and the position are the easy half.
Every civilian carries three signature traits, shown on the character-select screen next to their stats. They are separate from the perk deck, which is built from cards unlocked in the graveyard and is not tied to the character.
| Trait | What it does |
|---|---|
| Running Back | Any direct contact or physical hit on Michael lowers your personal Stalk tier. |
| Inspiring | Townsfolk you tell to hide get 20% more maximum health. |
| Barricade | Doors you lock are 10% harder to destroy. |
Thomas Armitage’s four values add up to 27 out of 40. Treat that as a rough shape, not a power ranking: a maxed column is worth more than a spread if the thing it feeds is what your group keeps losing to. The Loadout Lab sorts every civilian by any single column.
Thomas Armitage’s Linebacker Progressive Challenge is one of four IllFonic singled out for fixes, along with Superstitious Tools, Craftswoman and Quick Thinking:
We are also investigating reports of certain challenges that are not tracking properly under certain conditions.
Patch 1.0.3 lowered the goal to knocking Michael off his feet 10 times, and every challenge that asks you to knock him down is now easier to complete. If your progress was already past the new goal, any further progress toward it completes the challenge.
Linebacker gets the attention, but all of Thomas's Progressive Challenges and their goals lean just as physical.
